How to wean eel off live foods

Is it possible to wean my fire eel onto pellets or freeze dried/frozen foods?

Right now it is eating live leaf worms and live shrimp.

I thought it would eat frozen bloodworms, but no.

Also, I tried frozen krill. The eel picks it up and spits it out again. Same thing with sinking carnivore pellets, the eel seems interested at first, then spits it out. I tried soaking in Entice and Garllic Gaurd, but nothing.

The worms are cheap, 36 for $3 at the bait shop, but the shrimp are 100 for $55 shiped to me from Drs. F & S.

What else should the eel be eating? Is it just spoiled? Right out of the shipping bag the eel ate a frozen shrimp, why is it so picky now?

starve it it will turn around... then don't feed live anymore! why eat liver when someone else will give you a T-bone? he has learned the same thing...

How long should I starve it?

The oscar that is in the same tank is now picky, too. Won't touch pellets anymore. At least the oscar is still eating frozen and freeze dried!
