Thanks ! Both parents were blue but he has a little bit of a copper shimmer underneath his blue coat somehow.

I try to do that at least every night before bed. Sometimes the wife ask if I'm coming to bed or not. Good thing I have a hard time sleeping on the recliner and couch downstairs otherwise I probably will.
Currently my poly's and ctenopoma are in a tank in the bedroom and so I disappear to bed early every night (with dogs in tow 
) so I can feed them and sit and watch them for as long as I can stay awake . Now their big tank in the living room is almost ready I'm going to miss that time with them. I also check them if I get up in the night, as soon as I get up in the morning and then spend some time with them when I switch the lights on. I guess I'll adapt.

I have tanks in both my living room and bedroom so when it's time for bed I can still watch my fish. My tanks are all in my room. Watching nocturnal fish with a torch is fun!
