Yes you can... as mentioned in another thread, send a DNA sample to get it tested. It's pretty hard differentiating them as adults, so even more difficult as a 4 incher.

IMO, it doesn't matter the sex of your aros unless you're planning to breed, which not many can afford the space.

Any veterinarian could do it, right? I mean they do it for Parrots( the birds, not the little genetic freak of a fish) all the time. So just ask your local vet. and they could send away a sample to be tested for your.

WRONG! Need I remind you guys that the one that is laying eggs is usually the female!? While there are many things that can help you tell the sex of your aro, there is nothing physical you can see that will show you the sex 100%. If you intend to breed, get a group of 6 or more, if not, then just enjoy your aro.

like i said some class the larger bottom jaw as a defect in asian aros this would mean their are no females in the asian breeding projects

sorry if it came across as agresive but if you look at the qoute i used from you it was more about the larger bottom jaw i was comenting on

if their was any sure way to id aros everyone would be keeping them in pairs and tank breeding would be easy
