or some terrorist steals one of the navy subs and launches all its warheads and bam everyone dead
the end

or other pollution

Or maybe when kids decide it's more important to post on fish board than do their school work? Somehow, I think it is possible that the Navy has decided that it will not leave a Nuclear submarine parked at 7/11 unattended with 25 Nuclear ballistic missiles in the trunk, the keys in the ignition and the security launch codes in the glove box?

Just maybe they considered it a little more than you did?

The only pollution I see is this post!

Sorry to flame you off the planet, but come on! Let's crunch the grey matter matter a little more before pushing the keyboard buttons!

^^You are correct. The term is Red giant, They now say the earth may make it though the biggest of the expansion. I think the result would be a neutron star though, as only the bigger stars go, "super" nova in the first place. A star the size of our sun (medium star) would only go nova. There is another level called "hyper" nova. The bigger the star the bigger the nova and surprisingly the shorter the life of the star. This will all happen 400 billion years from now. By then we will live on Triton though...;) Sorry for getting long winded, but what you said impressed me:)

see.. i didnt sleep through ALL of science class.

but really i though it was interesting and it was kinda fun learnin about all that stuff.

Man will make his own downfall. For the sake of money, man does not care about the planet he lives on. I do not believe we are stupid enough to blow up our planet but we will probably die off. It might not even be our fault (dinosaurs roamed for millions of years and died off). If the planet is not destroyed by something, life will live on or will re-establish itself. We tend to think of our near future of perhaps 100 years. What is that to a planet that has been around for billions of years?
