HOW WOULD YOU FILTER A 120G?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i know. but only for a few years and i might, and i stress might allow him to go in my 280g if i dont think he will kill the other inhabitants. but for now i need to get a 10" pbass out of a 75g so my dempsey's can have it as a breeding tank cause 2 times they have layed eggs and no hatching.

thats good cause i'm like that. less need for a power head. my marineland does a good job too. i have it in the middle pointing right that way my jardini only has to deal with the 400's current. i used to have pacu's and oscars thats why i have all the filtration. but personally i don't like it i feel i can do better. thinking of replacing the gravel but i have had it for 10 years. maybe do a section at a time. ok i think i need some suggestions for substrate with all the inhabitants now minus the JD's.

well i filter my 125 with...

an ac 110, penguin 350, ehim canister, and a sump... my tank is always crystal clear with my 6 6-7 inch piranhas..

Sump or even a Fx5 or 2 , ( if 2 Fx5's i would persinaly would have 1 full of bio media and the other with half Mech' and half Chem' ) .
I'm really liking this idea. If I do this how what would I put in the half mechanical and half chemical. Seeing I would have the extra space is there such thing as too much carbon? If so how much would be ideal for the 120?
