In a hurry, I clicked expert but seem to regret it as I still have lots of room to improve.

I've been in and out of fishkeeping for long stretches, and the technology changes set me back to beginner each time. But at least I'm advanced at outdated, useless information.

This has also happened to me, over 19 years of fishkeeping I did slack off a few years ago to point of having less then 5 fish and just keeping them alive. When I left L numbers (for plecos) just started and was not widely used.

i clicked advanced because i know a lot more than the average person but when compared to someone such as Oddball who has probably forgotten more than i know, im no more than a clumsy novice having a bash at fishkeeping.

more towards advance since I have a marine set-up which took a fair bit of reading and i've had that up and running 2 years with not 1 death, pretty good going!

What qualifies as an expert? I think there may be members who would classify themselves as "specialized experts", but even they may disagree as to what it entails to be considered an "expert".

i am an expert at googling about the fish i don't know about :D

can't you just be a fun lovin' fishkeeper?! :D

^WIN.
I guess I'm intermediate. I have a lot of knowledge, but only 2 yrs exp., one of which was as one of those people better off not keeping pets. I'm trying to focus in on specialization in plecos and aquedins sp.
