I recently started working at a petshop, and have always had pets of all sorts, right now I have mice, guinea pigs, a 4 ft cornsnake, a 3.5 ft boa, and a 10 gallon tank with nothing but zebra danios and a couple rubber lipped plecos (my first aquatic breeding project). But since I am moving a cornsnake from his 30gallon tank to a more suitable habitat and purchasing a 55 gallon tank, I am looking to start two new tanks. I realize these aren't nearly big enough to keep monsters in, but i was hoping to get some feedback or ideas for types of fish to keep. Aside from the zebras i haven't had fish in probably 5-6 years and working at the petshop i see all the normal fish all day long, so i was hoping for some ideas on somewhat rare fish to put in either a 55 or 30 gallon tank. I am thinking about using the larger one for a cichlid tank, most likely africans, but if you have any other ideas please let me know, thanks!

I like African butterfly fish in a 35g, last time I had some they started breeding on thier own and I was giving babies to everyone I knew. A rope or reedfish would probably fit in there to. Not to spendy.
