How's My Filtration? - 75gallons

Setting up my 75 gallon this week and wondering if my filtration is OK. Going to be an Mbuna tank.

Right now, I have an Amiracle SR-200B sump which is rated for 100 - 125 gallons.

I am considering adding a Rena Fillstar XP3 from a local guy who is looking to get rid of it for pretty cheap.

Will this be too much filtration? Overkill? Do I even need to bother with the XP3?

You can add the canister. You can never have to filtration.

You should be alright without it given the tank is cycled. However you cant go wrong with the Rena. Plus its a good backup should something happen

I run a XP3 and a Magnum 350 on my 75 gal.

I love the XP3. Large trays and it is so quiet...

Sounds over filtered which is the best way to have your filters

You can never have too much filtration! =D

Besides, this gives you some slack if you ever decide to overstock your tank just a tinsy insy bit.

I have a sump that is rated for a 55 to 75 gallon tank and also a Fluval 405 running in my 55 gallon. It works like a charm!
