This is a pic when I first got her and she was in the 10g QT tank for a few weeks:

This is her as of tonight:

I'd been told it was a female due to the amount of blue in the face. if it were a male, it'd not have so much blue and more like 2-4 lines instead of all the blotching?

Does she look decent as far as quality goes? Overfed or just right? She's more or less the boss of the tank. She spars with my largest female escondido a fair bit lately though it's usually about a 2 minute ordeal of staring each other down and quick lip lock before they just swim around with each other again. Weird love/hate relationship they have going on.

Im not an expert on sexing GT's but may I ask how big it is? It looks young still to be able to tell unless you vent it...but the amount of blue in the face doesnt help in the sexing for GT's that seems to only apply to Jack Dempsy's...then again im still new to this sexing thing lol but your GT has colored and fattened up nicely since you've got it. :D

Let me take her so i could add her with my male!

She was about 3.5-4" TL when I got her now she's close to 5-5.25". I've lost track of time but she's been around now for 1-2 months. I'd have to check photobucket for her acquisition date - i log all the fish there when I get them to help me remember.

A few folks on here have said that the amount of blue in the face can help determine if it's a male or female and have said that's how they tell. Lot of blue/blotching on the face instead of just a few lines. That's what I had been going by but that could be wrong I guess/ I don't know. Trying to figure it out, lol. I've got 3 juvie GT's that are 2" growing out with them now, so I can find a match for whatever it is.
