very opposed to hr669, up in massachusetts where i live the freshwater fish here I.E. (Pickrel, largemouth,smallmouth,horned pout), would not have a problem with any fish normaly kept in a fish tank THEY WOULD BE LUNCH. Of course the Ghar and Pirahana would be an issue but up here they are already banned.
Bill Hr669 has the capability of banning all cichlids, one of the most popular types of pet fish!
I looked into it and did a lot of research, apparently this bill can ban cichlids almost any kind of angelfish, most tropical reef fish, and plecostami. That would suck!

This bill would initially ban everything except dogs, cats and goldfish. A species would only be allowed AFTER it is investigated and determined not to pose a threat to the environment. Currently it takes US fish and wildlife 4 years to conduct an investigation and ban a fish under CITES.
