HTH pool filter sand

Hi, has anyone used this particular brand of pool filter sand and what did you think about it? Can get it delivered to the house at $13 per 50 lb bag. Seems like a decent price. Thanks for the input.

im no expert but thats what i've used in all my tanks no ill effects

It is usable but is very fine and tends to loft easily but so does the commercial grit I use from HD at $10 per 100lbs.

Thanks for your responses. I thought #20 grade would be big enough to where it wouldn't "float" too much but also wouldn't pack down completely. The Home Depot and Lowe's by me only have playsand. Seems that most people think pool filter sand is better but idk.

All boils down to personal preference.

I use this in a couple tanks.
It can be stirred up into the water but it settles quickly, it doesn’t seem to cause me any problems.
