A girl contacted me with a tank for sale, a 55 gallon for $30!

No stand or anything, but heck I have everything in my basement if I wanted to set it up tomorrow.

The tank is located in the town where my husband's shop is (hour away) and I can no longer drive long distances so he would have to pick it up. Besides, he's the one with the truck.

Told him about it and he said NO WAY! Claims I have enough tanks. I haven't even set up my "new" 29 gallon yet because he still needs to finish the stand.

I'm temped to call up the girl, PayPal her the money, and have my sister drive me over to pick it up.

another way out of it would be to allow your hubby a gift for himself as well...

yep tell him he gets to buy something for $30.00... But in a relationship everything has to be agreed upon or else it starts a snowball of trouble.

He buys $45 to $50 worth of tools every week, so it's not like he doesn't get to buy stuff for himself. Of course, he is a heavy equipment tech, so he "needs" them for his job. He just started getting into woodworking and bought a HUGE planer. The space in the basement I have marked off for my fishroom is slowly turning into his wood workshop.

I don't think it's about the money or me getting something for myself. I think if it was anything other than a tank it would be OK. He really doesn't like my hobby. He said if I really want it then I have to go get it myself. That's not fair because he knows I can't drive more than a few miles (health problems.)

Heck with it, I'm emailing the girl tonight. I'll get that tank home somehow, it's too good of a deal to pass up!
