Pulling in a minnow with 44lb cable doesnt sound like fun to me. Get you a nice little spinning outfit with 8-12lb line and "play" the fish. It will be more fun plus it will give you more options on how to fish.

For your information i have three spools of line, one for 11 lbs one for 27 pounds and one for 44 lbs cant wait till i go fishin again and use all my new equipment!

I agree! Great to see some wild caught fish. I prefer a hand line too, you can still use light line and "play" a big fish with just as much skill as a rod but I am sure with huge monsters there, you prefer to take no chances. Keep up the photos!! I will make it to the Amazon and fish myself sometime this year!!
