I have the opportunity to get a 22" Jardini. I love these fish and the one is question is an excellent specimen. The only question is:

How do I re-arrange what I have to accommodate this fish?

The tank that it would go in is a 300g tank. Stock list is:
(1) 10" motoro,
(1) 16" tig,
(1) 5"nic,
(1) 4" geo. jurapari,
(1) 4" Metae,
(1) 7" flagtail
(3) 4-6" Severums

The fish that are in the "fair game" tanks:

110g = (1) fairly nasty GG that is 13"
90g= Empty
75g= (1) 6" FH and (1) 3" BP (they have paired)
265= (1) 24+" sliver aro, (1) 18" marbled pim, (1) 20" clown knife, (2) 12-15" oscars, (1) 15" Lima shovelnose.

Keep in mind that the ray would not do well in the 265 and I refuse to seriously risk the tig and ray.

The jardini has lived peacefully with rays at this size.

The ultimate question....... WWMFKD?

move all you can to the 90 keep the tig, ray and jar in the 300, if you see a slight sign of aggression from the jar, devide the tank and figure out plans from there, whether you must buy another tank or sell the jar.

I haven't kept a jardini, I just know that I wouldn't personally risk one with ANYTHING I valued, whether they'd previously gotten along with those fish or not. Fish can change temperment when you move them.
We bought 2 ornate bichirs from a fish store out of the same tank, they'd been getting along for weeks and as soon as they went into our tank (within a minute of hitting the tank) the one started tearing the other up. When we sold them to the fish store in town there were absolutely no problems putting them together again, no bickering at all. Just shows how fish can act differently when moved, and that's not the only personal experience I could list.
Knowing jardini's personalities and how unpredictable they can be I wouldn't put it with yours rays.

Basically I'd say just ask yourself which fish you're more or less attached to and move them accordingly. Don't risk anything you're attached to with the jardini unless you've 100% convinced yourself that nothing will happen. I don't think anyone can decide where your fish can go besides you since all fish are different.

I understand that no matter what there is a risk associated which is why I need feedback. I'll be making the move (if I do) on a weekend so I can pay attention to them for a couple of days consistently.
I would also like to know which fish I should move first to establish dominance.

In that case I like X24's idea. It doesn't seem like there's too many choices here considering your fishes sizes and your tanks.

A friend of mine suggest swapping the pim and the tig, moving the small fish from the 300 to the 110 and putting the GG in the 300 with the Jar.........This would leave the ray, GG, pim, and jar together in the 300.

thoughts?

If you don't think your GG will mess with your rays that doesn't sound bad, it just seems like a lot of unecessary moving since all the smaller fish will currently fit in your 90g.

This is to much like work :nilly:, just get another pond. :D (you want me to talk to the BOSS for ya?)

Anyway you look at it you may have a problem :(.

You need a contingency plan (read empty tank) if a couple of them don't get along.

Yup, pond solves everything, there you go, lol.

Seriously though, that's what worries me is you don't seem to have anywhere for the jar if something suddenly happens.

I suggest this. It's a good starting point, and fix any problems as they come up.
