Yes, no where near 9lbs but a solid 6 maybe 7, still a VERY nice catch! What part of the country are you in?

you guys are crazy not close to 7 pounds more like 4 pounds ik what it is like when you first catch a bass that big when i did i thought it was like 10 pounds but it is not that big. i would say probably about 4 pounds but cant be sure without you weighing it.
man great catch! biggest i caught was a good ol' foot long northern lmb about 2 pounds. keep up the good work! however i must agree with klmt, that isnt 9 pounds. i caught a striper twice the length and girth of that lmb and it only weighed 8 pounds.
It can't be only four pounds, I've caught plenty of four pounders that were weighed and this fish is definitely bigger than those guys.
thats not 6-7! My 7.5lber looked bigger than that. I dident measure but in the pic it took up my whole stomach. And my 10ish lber looked a bit larger than that one. So i could safely say 8-9.5lbs
