He is a big boy man take care of him. They can get quite large just do not seem them often so big because it takes a long time. He can still get quite a bit larger even

I think Cons are one of the worst looking Cichlids. But fun to watch.

Sort of agree, kind of genetric, but there are some amazing looking ones. I saved a really nice female from being a feeder. I jsut breed her this month to a nice humpy head male

personally i think cons are one of the most under-rated cichlids out there , its just not many people give them a chance .

the young do indeed look cool , unfortunatly there too small and fast to get a decent pic of , but there a mix of all pink and some are pink with normal black markings some are pink with half black markings and some are standard , as soon as they get some size i will post up pics

I have to disagree, at least on the about about killing they mate when younger. My young pink male killed my pink female after several spawns then tried to kill the other female I gave him. I had to pull her and get her back to health. When I put her back I gave her more hiding places and she was fine until they spawned.

I had a huge monster Con awhile back. He was a great fish with tons of personality. Had to give him up to make space for other fish. Heres a pic of him, he was about 6-6.5" from lip to tip of tail fin.
