I dont think they are techinically an established species yet... but they are probably close b/c so many are out in our canal ways/ponds etc.
We saw a decent sized one a few years ago.. thats the first one I ever saw that wasnt in an aquarium. I dunno if you remeber it Jed?? In the lake with the pbass =]

well what happened was, the pacu bit off his junk and then he killed himself because he wasnt a man anymore
