Huge problem please help

swim bladder problem. i would as suggested seperate and give perfect water quality.

If this is in fact the problem and worst comes to worst, there's an old fishermen's trick for releasing the air trapped in the bladder. you could probably google it but basically you stick a needle into the fish :nilly:. Usually happens to fish that are deep and brought to the surface too quickly. (i think)

yup... you stick them with a pin behind the pectoral fin.. i don't know if i recommend this on your cichla since i'm not a 100 percent sure it's his swim bladder. most likely your cichla took a hard blow.

Yeah, more of a last resort, he's about to die, kind of deal.

EDIT: so I just watched the vid and don't think the pin technique will work. From his fins, looks like he's taken a good beating. I suggest separating him from the RTG and hope for the best :(
 
Im thinking it hit the side or the top of the tank really hard. Ive seen this happen before. Sometimes they make it but rarely.
