Hujeta owners look here

yea the eyes are way different on a 2" hujeta compared to even my 10". They are all like that.

But i have to agree about the bottom jaw fin things.

I have read online that as they grow larger they loose those fins. But I can't vouch for it. I have a 5yr old female and her jaw fins are just as big as they were at 1yr old.

Everyone keep saying boulengerella sp. But does anyone have a specific name i could look up?

without a full body pic it's almost impossible. My guess would be Boulengerella cuvieri though.

i wouldve said cuvieri as well,simply by that stout snout.

Well i was just using BING and searching (amazon fishing pics). It doesn't really show you the source site unless you click on it. And I did not.

Alright then, not big of a deal. I just thought it might be easier to determine the exact species by looking at surrounding text/pictures.
