Humane way of killing...?

The bleach thing does sound like it has many more purposes than killing worms. Think of the time and money I could save! Old green fuzzy foods will simply take a bleach dip, rinse and eat! Woot!

My wife was being silly and I expect more SILLY responses. SMILE people, it's FRIDAY! :)

Plus what's the fun of having carnivorous fish if they would only eat pellets? Pfft! My all time favorite is seeing my eels crunch on the crayfish while the crayfish pinch onto their skin fighting for dear life... in the humane way of course. :D

She's not a fan of that either, but I tell her it's a part of life and those fish go through less pain and suffering than the farm raised catfish she loves to devour. Ok, I have no proof of that, but it's my view point and I'm sticking to it.

but if you said its part of nature, then thats when i step in and say, throwing a crayfish in a closed system with no way of escape is not even close to nature :D
 
Use clove oil. The problem with this thread is that most most people including me is that we only want to save the cute or cool animals.
 
Clove oil is not a safe way to kill earthworms as you can od your fish.
I never even thought about it as the wriggling is what attracts fish.
She does realise that the brain of an earth worm is about the size of this (,) doesn't she?
 
carefull guppy you'll open up a can of worms lol i had a freind whose wife was a tree hugger
she wouldnt kill anything in nature or eat it a little screwy if you ask me.

lol, think about all the insects killed or displaced to produce that whole grain bran muffin.

Sorry I meant for fish, not worms. I don't think that drowning a worm is a big issue.
 
Death is a part of life. Does an eagle humanely euthanize a rodent that it eats? I can't say I don't have room for an aviary but my guess is no.
