there are some salvinia natans floating in there, that I will monitor
it's early days yet, it may be that I just stick with the minnows and some shrimp; as I'm keen to maintain the sense of scale in this tank, which I think Discus could ruin. Time will tell lol
Looks great! I really enjoy watching the progression of this tank. I've got play sand in all my tanks and yes, spent hours rinsing it. It should eventually clear up with water changes. Maybe temporarily adding an hob filled with floss would help to clear it up.

yeah I messed up with it, just put it straight into the tank lol; I didn't want to clog up my bath pipes or anything rinsing it in there lol. Good idea on adding some filters, I should probably use some old dingy ones I have lying about

It's just just standard T5 bulbs I believe that come with the Juwel Trigon, nothing fancy; I've only used the backlight though, to give it a spotlight effect

Quick update on this tank, has some Congo tetras, angels, and the minnows! There's something off about it though, don't know if it's the black backing; but will need to give it thought lol
