mmmm...I don't know? Seeing that he never killed a whale before to try and end its suffering, I assume the same unfortunate mistake could have happened. I wonder if your reply would have been the same if it was Steve Irwin in charge.

Honestly guys. It is a simple case of the best available people trying to do what they thought was the best and most humane thing for the animal at a given point in time. Lets not lose sight of that. If you read the story, it had been suffering for quite some time.The fact that the euthanizing of the whale went wrong just goes to show that it is not normal practice here.

their hearts were in the right place... but when the plan is to destroy it why not go all out the first time? "we have x amount of explosive lets use half!" As americans I agree we're wasteful but I guarantee here the whal woulda been dead the first try. as opposed to lingering. lest it went to cali shores where it wouldve been ***ed to death by the over liberals.

Anyone remember an old video of a country trying to figure out how to dispose of a dead whale, and they decided to blow it up - sending chunks of whale flying like 30 miles in all directions?

HAHA i remember that they stuck like a nuke under the whale, sprayed the whole town in guts, apparantley the smell was so bad nobody could live there for years
