Hundreds of snailbabies.

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The babies seem to grow nice and I feed them lettuce and algae wafers. They really like the lettuce. :) Before the big guys didnt care about the anubias plants i (used to) keep, but since i gave them lettuce they`ve totally massacred my little anubiagarden. Pics comin soon.

didn't think people liked snails :P

Why not? They´re beautiful little cratures and some almost have something you can call a personality. I recommend you to try with some applesnails.

I have a species of snail in my creek, which have been a small part of my turtle's diet for over a year, and only recently have they started multiplying. They aren't prolific breeders, but they have been a great help to my overall tank health, and you have sparked my interest enough to encourage more research and development. Post some pics!! Thanks!

I have 3 adult apple snails in my 180g and they are doing fine. Over the past month they have set out 8 clutches of eggs. now a few weeks later they are starting to hatch. I estimated that I had over 1500 eggs laid. Now this tank has lots of things in it that will munch on a baby snail so as they are hatching I take a few out and move them to other tanks and the remaining babies get eaten or hide on some huge pieces of driftwood that have been soaking in the tank for about 3 months(still not sinking:) For anyone that is interested I can mail some of these out, I also have some baby red cherry shrimp that can come with the snails.

Apple snails are a problem for some? I have been trying to find one for years without luck. Anybody want to mail me one?

i'll take a few also if you/ll mail them:headbang2

Who doesn't like apple snails? That's like saying "No thanks, I don't want the free algae cleaning service that are interesting and fun to watch" (well, not when they're small, but when they get bigger).
