Wow...hope your recovery goes well. Being in a supervision position before, they're suppose to pay for your time at the hospital as well, but it looks like you already found that out.

Thanks, I was told I will have to go to therapy:irked:
Feels like it hurts to lift my middle finger... The one I use most... NOOO:cry: (at the job, not telling everyone their number one:ROFL:)

Thanks to all that posted or PMed me... :D

I might be able to post a pic of it as the blood started drying... wanna see it before I went into surgery (I think the story sounded worst that it is... but others think diff)? I took a pic in the Dr. office waiting n was bored so I thought to take a pic to show my wife:naughty:.

wow america sucks in australia if u get hurt at work u get paid until your fine to return to work ie 6 to 8 weeks or even 6 months

Glad to hear youre doing better. Now make sure you get your workers comp/disability taken care of. and ofcourse they cant penalize you for time you have to take off to continue your treatment. I dont know the laws very well but it sounds so far like your company is trying to do right by you. Its been my experience though that they may not know them well either, so do yourself a favor and do the homework to make sure you get all youre entitled to.
Im in a reverse situation with the Marine Corps. Im ready to get out but the military insists that I stay on active duty until they fix me. Considering the economy I shouldnt complain!

Thanks. I dont need disability... im on light duty. I was told to be off for one week or atleast 1 day but came to work the following day:D. With nothing to do at home I was going to go get some fish but caught myself.... so I drove in to work.

As for your situation with the military, I dont know if its the same but my sis-n-law was in the military and on her 2nd year she was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer in her limpnotes (sorry for the spelling:D) and the military tried to give her a dis-honorable discharge.... long story short, she fought it and got a honorable discharge with full benefits from the military etc...

How is that any diff with you being hurt? Once you leave, dont they give you the benefits too? Or you have to be there 20 yars to get the works???

Either way, Thanks for what you have done for your/my Country. I wish you a Merry Christmas to you and your Family.... and a speedy recovery:headbang2

I'm glad your getting done right by your company. I'm a schoolteacher, and have beenput out of work three times over the years for injuries. Once, I was punched in the crotch three times by a student while trying to break up a fight, and had to take sick leave for the rest of the day. Another time, I was burned pretty badly while trying to repair an alto sax (dont' ask) and presto, sick leave.
Hope you get better soon, your fishies need you!

WOW... that realy sux. You would think the City would take care of the people teaching our "World Changers":screwy:?

Thats one reason why I am not a school teacher... I have a bad reflex of "Fists" (had a few months to think about that a couple times:cry:).

 Funny you say that... they are begging for food but I cant chop up any shrimp. Yesterday I had my daughter cut a few pcs just to kill the hunger for them. Im going to ask my wife to cut up a lot n feed them for me tonight:D

happy to hear your ok. My only concern is if you will be able to net out my Orino!!!!

:ROFL:What an ***... good one:D

If I cant, then it is a lesson to be learned.... when you get a free fish, pick it up or you will risk not getting anything... caught-like now:ROFL:

I was injured on the job at my last work place. THey made me finish my shift and didn't pay me any compensation. I'm now color deficient, have scarring on my face and chest, and no hair where I was burned by the acid.

Man, that sucks! I know you have 1 year from the date of the accident to file a claim... after that its impossible to win
