When you moving him lol
I dont know if youve kept them before but mines growing at about half an inch to an inch a week.
you was asking for trouble placing him in a paired convict tank, although you probably know this.
Red Tails are incredibaly resilient and he will heal very quickly, although this will hamper growth for the next week at least.
