Simply incredible specimen!!! I would love to hear what that tank's filtration system is, the feeding regimen, and the maintenance schedule. Tried and true methods would give others a chance to raise such a centerpiece.

Filteration is called " Tarenagasi" in Japanese .English is "Drip filter or trickle filter" with heavy Oxigen + all time addtion of new water.
Sorry I cannot explain well in English...
So water was all time so clean and stingray seems to be pregnat all time.

That filter box size was 200G or so. That monster was not a big eater any more. just only one larger goldfish was eaten at the moment.
There are several 20-24" armatus around here. Most of them get those size in only 2 years with same filteration sytem even if it was put in 200G tank.

he was about 10 years

This is an actual filter box. You can see a big cat like pig in it :D

Not gulper... It's Tocantinsia sp from Rio Xingu maybe
it looked 18"size at least to me.

This is the last pic of the monster I can post at the moment

Very cool filtration. I am definitely taking notes ^^ (could you take a picture that shows how the filter is located with respect to the main tank?)

10 year armatus. I never had a fish for that long, but then again i was not into fish keeping for 10 years.

Keep up the good work.... and post pictures of armatus oftein please
