As stated in my original post, the female is already a hybrid. All three (con, sajica and spilurus are of the Archocentrus family. The female was brought in to my store with a mess of others all as babies. The father was a Spilurus "Grey". He was also traded in. Mom was a convict.
I can not find a female sajica large enough not to be killed by my male. The con hybrid was not introduced with plans to spawn, but nature had its way.
As for introducing them into the market... it was not a plan. I am neither for nor against the idea though. No harm comes to the fish through cross breeding (at least in the case of my hybrids), it is not like they are being introduced into the wild, and new developments are what help to keep the hobby interesting. As I said, I was not planning on putting them into the market, but I have yet to decide not to either.
