Hey guys, with all these hybrid bichirs now floating in the market... I just need to ask this question. How big do hybrids get and what are their growth rates? What hybrid bichirs do you guys know that are circulating in the market right now anyway?

Well the growth rate will depend on the hybrid species. And the only ones I non that are circulating right now are endlixangsori and lapxendli. However there were some really cool ones circulating about 10 or so years ago that was like ornatexendli and some pollixsen there were a couple more as well here's a link tk a thread about them http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?409291-hybrid-bichirs

Im not sure there aren't many in the market and I don't know anyone on here that has one that can give us any info on it's growth rate.

As a guess, since polli grow quite fast and senegal sometimes do too i would think it would have a decent growth rate. My Polli has gone from 4 inch to 7 inch in just a couple months, hes a pig.

I have a sene x polli hybrid and they grow the same as their parents. Also growth would depend on the owner, how much water change, food nutritional value, tank size, temperature and how much food it eats.

Do you have pics? The one in that thread mentioned above looks amazing!

Wow I never knew you had one yeah definitely post some pics or something when you can I am very interested to see what they like when they are older.

I actually posted the pics many times already here in mfk since 2008. Somehow I cant find it in my comp now. Will try to look in my old hard drive. I actually own many hybrid bichir except ornate x endli which i never got a chance to get. They were too expensive before when they where around. I thought I could find a cheap one and wait, till the breeding program of ornate x endli no longer exist or been discontinued. Also had a polli x endli and sene x endli before too.

This is the only pic I could find sene x endli
