They are more than likely test tube. I have heard rumors that they were bread as food fish, and that they were produced in labs in japan. Haven't heard or seen any proof of how they are actually made. I would imagine that like other hybrids they take sperm from the male of one species and inject the females of the other to make them come in to estrus to produce and release eggs. Once the eggs are released they fertilize them with the previously captured sperm of the other species. Hope that helps, but there is still much debate on these fish.
