Mine sadly died at 24". RIP I'll miss you Moe! It's a tie between that one and my planiceps for the most purely evil catfish I have ever owned. This one would bite me if I got my hand close to him. He also killed a marmoratus bigger than him. I also believe it is not a perruno they are mixed with rather a marmoratus. I have my reasoning for this.

Yupp!!! mine also very aggresive towards another...and it killed my perruno....hmmmm are u sure that your catfish is TSC x PC??? Why the spots are soo small???

I actually consider it pseudoplatystoma fasciatum x leiarius longibarbus, I have seen no real definitive evidence of a true perruno in the hobby to date. The dorsal fin ray count is off for every one I have seen to be perruno. Anyway lol, as for the ID of this hybrid when he was smaller his spots were more like the one pictured earlier in this thread, and I have also noticed that there is a great deal difference in the degree of hybridization from individual to individual. Some take on different traits of one species or the other. I have also done a complete disection, and I am almost finished with a skeletal articulation for this particular hybrid. Hope that clears things up.

wow never seen one i like it tho. r they hard to get

very cool cat but you just cant go on spots and colouration on these Hybrids I have see so many variations in colours and spots on the tsn/rtc crosses if you put some of them next to each other you would swear it was a different fish. But cool fish and keep us posted on its growth these Hybrid cats are getting more and more common in the hobby now.
