I would say there is defo convict in there. I would say convict x firemouth going by the black patch on the gill. Here is a mature specimen.

I just picked up this little guy from Petco for a dollar. He was labeled as "cichlid hybrid". It looks to me like either a convict x fire mouth or a convict x jd. Any help identifying is greatly appreciated. View attachment 1130554 View attachment 1130555
