Hybrid piranha???

never heard of. it's rare enough that piranhas breed in aquariums, much less cross breeding.

most cases of successful breeding only involved the red bellied piranha anyway.

apart from rbps, there really isnt much p breeding done in the home aquarium. i heard someone did it with spilos awhile back, but never saw pictures or anything apart from rumors. and supposedly some public aquarium bred a few rhoms back in the 70 or 80s or something

sirasoni,
there was a guy on www.piranha cove.com that bred macs/spilos and he has lots of pics to prove it if you want to check this out
sorry if this is breaking the rules

Wont 2 big rhom tear each other apart? i heard that people try to bred rhom, but with big casuality.. Beside 2 adult rhom will cost like $1000+, a bit risky with that kind of investment

Do you think in the wild.. the female will eat the male or vice versa (after spawning)? just like spider, praying mantis.. the female eat the male..

I doubt they will eat each other!

but they will most likely kill one another!

yeah i REALLY wouldnt put 2 big rhoms together. since they aren't sexually dimorphic, you wouldn't even be able to tell sexes apart so it would be too much of a risk

Lets not forget, in wild terns are from Argentina and Caribe are from Venuzala and long distance relationships are hard work.
lmao

yeah, but who knows, maybe the piraya is a cross breed of a rbp and a tern, AKA the orange flame design, the super reds could be a rbp and red piraya cross,
