that "washed out look" if you are refering to lighter colored base is typical on some motoros, some of my favs actually i prefer them over the darker colored

I Like it, just didn't know if it was cause of the light substrate, natural, or age.

I think she will darken a little more with age. The black rings around her spots have started to darken within the past few months.
I'm sure she would be darker at this age if I had a dark substrate.
