Would you pick a sunshine bass or palmetto bass? The type depends on which species is the father and which is the mother

Honestly I can't tell the different between the two. I always assumed their resulting hybrid characteristics stayed the same, but I read somewhere that it's easier for a particular female bass' eggs to hatch vs the others because of flotation or something. I'll have to find out which the local hatchery has. Either way I'll be moving forward with housing these fish. It'll probably happen early next spring though after I'm settled in the new home and have my tank put together.

White bass largest I ever caught was 7 pounds, large individuals would probably do well with armatus as both like flow and white bass aren't agresive to tank mates unless they can eat it

Yellow bass r nice but I haven't found any decent ways to get them, I'd recommend white bass

Catch the yellows depending on where you are yellows tend to do better in an aquarium then whites.

I've never seen a yellow bass in person before. I mostly fish saltwater though.

The hatchery only has wipers and largemouth. Out of the two, wipers just interest me so much more. If my plywood build goes together smoothly I will 100% consider a 12+ foot tank for them. The unknown variable seems to be captive adult size.

Edit: I haven't seen either....but I need to get out fishing more. According to this map white bass are here in Southeastern PA

White bass and hybrids need decent oxygen levels, they also appreciate flow, expect hybrids to get 24 inches with proper care, all species in this group like clean water
