This is only my opinion and different than the typical MFK'r based on all the "how cool" posts when ever anyone does this.

A convict will breed with anything. It's not cool or awesome to create this crap hybrids of convictxCA. You aren't unique in getting them to pair up with something other than a convict. You are just adding another crap cross into the hobby that is difficult to tell from a pure bred fish until you start trying to spawn the babies yourself.

I'm sure you will follow with the typical
"I won't sell them" or even better " I'll tell the fishstore they are a cross".

It's because if the irresponsible fish-keepers creating mutt fish that it's become impossible to get a good quality, known ancestry fish at a LFS.

I agree with this too. only if you are going to use them as feeders should they be raised. this should be good.
