My biggest tank is a 125, which is my community tank. It has 2 Oscars M/F, Giant Gourami , Johanna Pike, 3 Redhook's, Tinfoil Barb, Wolf fish, pleco. The rest of my cichlids are pretty much separated. I've had these guys beat the crap out of each other before that is why I put them in separate tanks. I am acquiring a 75 gal setup sometime this week. I may put the smaller fish from the 125 in there and reintroduce the Jag, Gt, and Trimac to the 125. There is a cheap Jack Dempsey at a local petsmart he's about 8", I'm thinking about adding him too.

I am actually outta room right now. I only have some spare 10's and 20's set up for future fry. How big is it again. I may put him in my 125, how aggressive is he??

well he is 8-9inches. fairly aggressive, i dunno if i would add him to a community tank.

For the past two days my female Jag has been moving gravel and cleaning off rocks. She should be laying eggs within the next few days. I am going to put the Trimac in with her, divide them at first then see how they react. If too much fighting ensues I am going to try the artificial method I mentioned earlier in the thread.

Also my parrot is nice and fat ready to lay eggs again, The midas has been moving gravel and plants all over the tank. Hopefully this batch will hatch. This will be the 4th time she had laid eggs. 1st time tried with male parrot, yup didn't work. 2nd time I tried to cross her with a convict, she refused him. 3rd time my male trimac almost killed her. That is what scares me about putting him in with my jag. He keeps the pleco in his tank hidden and every time it moves he shreds him.

who likes texas terrors? = ]

I had bought a dozen Texas Cichlids about 8 months ago. They were all very small. I have been culling the batch and ended up keeping the best looking pair. The female came into breeding colors a few weeks back, she didn't lay any eggs. Then right after she turned back to normal the male beat on her and she eventually died from her injuries. I now only have a male Texas. I would also like to try and cross this guy with my F Parrot. She is such a "whore," being passed around from man to man.

hybridize your texas with a red terror.
it looks like a texas but with a red base pigment
with like regular texas cichlid scales.
very aggressive aswell.
