Just picked up a nice Cyan texas and a loiselle from fishfreak. Thanks again man. They are two pretty cool fish.

Now I am on the lookout for a nice female to pair with the texas. I would like to find a good sized female midas, or big female parrot for him.

hey jason don't worry i have tons of pure trimacs i could give to your uses. do with them as you wish. i just hope to score some of these wacky mixes when they are avail.

as for the fish i gave you. i'm glad you like them. how are they doing? did the losellei show the true color yet? i know it was stressed yesterday is why i ask.

The fish are doing great. I put them in my 125. The loisellei did brighten up and is showing color.

I will definetly hook you up with some hybrids.

On another note:
I know these aren't technically hybrids, but my Ebjd male and my Jack dempsey female spawned and have fertilized eggs. They spent all day circling eachother doing there little cichlid love dance.

Good news good news.

My male midas that I had in with my female texas. Laid eggs, so apparently it is a female.
I put the male cyan texas I got from fishfreak in with her.

Also my, parrot f is laying eggs I have a male texas in with her too.

I should be having two variants of red texas here.

The EBJD/ Jack eggs are all covered in fungus.

Updates:

The parrot/texas eggs were consumed by parents over night. I have yet to have a productive spawning from my parrot.
So far the midas/texas eggs seem to fairing the best.

you need to be a little bit more patient. sometimes males fert right off the rip, and sometimes males shoot blanks for the first couple times. i always try to give the pair at least 4 trys before separating them, or trying a new male. in fact it took my big free marking male flowerhorn 8 times to produce live wigglers. :WHOA:
