Hydor Temperature Malfunction?

Heaters fail all the time, and all brands do.
You are lucky it was the 200 watt instead of the 400, the 400 may have cooked your fish.
If not using a controller, it is always better to get a few undersized ones than 1 high watt version.

True but this is the second hydor that failed within a month of buying brand new. The first one was a 400 watt that almost cooked my fish. Left a bad taste in my mouth.

Mine started heating the water 12*F above the dialed temp. They are POS as far as I'm concerned. Had another Chines heater that would not stop heating, lucky i caught it in time, Chines heaters are POS too

Wonder how many more ppl have problems with them and just don't mention it.
