Here he is, around 4" long.

that is known as a mystic gar here.
dosent have very good colors. mines got black spots all over him
yours will probly get the same.

haz - no - there are 2 species of boulengerella. Yours is the "spotted pike characin" and his is the striped pike characin

So he ate today for the first time... That I saw anyway. He took down a convict cichlid baby that was 3/4" long. Looking great, and active. Great fish to have.
