Hydrocynus forskahlii

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Yeah that’s right. It’s interesting seeing both together. When I was in the hobby over a decade ago I had a shoal of 5 largish ones which were sold at the time and were known in the hobby as vittatus. But now I know them as forskahlii. It’s very interesting to see how different the morphology actually is between the two species
what are your overviews of both now youve had them a while? This FATF or mine doesnt seem too much different to the VATF i last kept just smaller and less colourful

Forskahlii much smaller head and teeth, bigger eyes, enlongated. This specific vittatus really big head, teeth visible even when mouth is closed. Higher dorsal fin and blueish tint
