Hello , 2 days ago i have sent and 8" hydrolycus armatus to a friend , travelled in polystyrene box 12"x12"χ12" with some water , added tetra aquasafe , jbl oxytab and a heatpack.
The transport took about 9 hours by ship.
I didn't use fish bags for the transport , cause it pierced both of the fish bags i initially used for the transport.
The fish didn't arrive at good condition , couldn't swim properly or stand at right position , but a few hours later seemed much better and started swimming.
Today hydrolycus got these strange marks , like burns , on top of it's body and is still moving normally.Yesterday had only i small mark not so visible.
Look at the attached picture.
The fish is treated carefully with aquarium salt.
I would very much appreciate if you helped me identify the cause of this.
You can see 1 photo from yesterday , with the mark just visible aboce the eyes.

Wait for somebody else to post to be 100% sure. But this happened to me a couple years back and I used Melafix Tea Tree Oil.

I would also triple dose the tank with prime and get the tank water perfect!

Melafix is very safe stuff and worked perfect for me. Good luck bro!

Nice Armatus!

The fish was perfect before the transport. After the long travel , it got some small marks and after 1 day , these started becoming worse and worse .At the video below , you can see how it is now!!!
Really can't understand how this happened .

i know that melafix has melaleuca leucadendra (cajeput tree) , alternifolia is something else similar , some have tried both with same result.
It's not only 7$ and not only for this treatment , but to completely replace melafix with diy one , for much more uses.
And especially for big aquariums , it's a great difference .
Would appreciate if someone that has made and used diy one , adviced me on this.
