Sorry to hear that. Payaras really are sensitive to water quality. It's much more important to prevent problems rather than trying to fix it after they start showing signs.

Looks bacterial... Not a believer in mela or Pima. I would have gone straight to a bacterial med.

Clean water and salt would of been a better option than pima for melafix. The 2 meds are kinda like placebos than anyhting else IMO. I agree that a "legit" bacterial med should of been used at the getgo.
From my shortlived experience with mela and pimafix, it caused more havoc than harm as I believe it contributed to a casualty of my biggest purple wolffish.
