I'd say the aggression depends on the individual fish. I have seen pairs of acestrorhynchus falcirostris get along great. My scomb and raph also got along really good. I also think age plays a big role in mixing, and both of mine are still young (7-8").
The one on top is the new tat, and the one on the bottom is my old tat. The new guy was hiding in the opposite corner, and then an hour later I saw my tat huddled in the new tat's corner with him . When I came up to take a picture, they both swam away sort of like a small school of tetras.
Woah, in the pic the one on the top seems to be either Armatus or Yellow Tail Tat. The bottom is 100% Red tail tat. A little skiny. Get them some snacks =].
