Since my move to a new home I’ve definitely delved back into my passion for the aquarium hobby. Because of that I want to free up some more space as well as find a good home for one of my favorite pets that I just don’t focus on enough any longer.
So, I’m selling off my Weber’s Sailfin Dragon (Hydrosaurus Weberi) roughly around 17”-20”. I’m also including the custom made enclosure I built that will suit him for the rest of his life (50”Lx30”Dx62”H).
He’s a very awe inspiring centerpiece to any room with his vibrant green and sail that will only get bigger (up to about 2” tall). He’s basivally the end result of a Spinosaurus spending a drunken night with a Water Dragon. You can also add a Green Basilisk or Water Dragon if you’d like since they play well with their own family. Eventually he should get around 30” but most of it being tail. He’s definitely cool to watch but has never been a fan of forced handling. He will jump on you and climb your shirt given the chance and during feeding I’d suggest you keep your distance as he can be ravenous and will eat his food and your finger.
Cage comes with heat lamp, water dish, some branches to climb, LED plant light if you wish to use real plants for his decor, thermostat and substrate. The acrylic for the cage door and plant LED cost me $200 alone and the whole thing ended up costing over $650. Not to mention the Hydrosaurus at 8” cost me $220. I’m asking $300 for the whole set up and lizard as I’d rather he just gets a good home. I’d also consider trading for Fluval Fx6’s, Fx4’s, Datnoids, Peacock Bass, or Dorados.
