Hyperactive Moray eel (G. Tile)

Ah I see. Well although when they are young they can be reasonable at feeding off the algae (sometimes hit and miss) when they get older, their diet takes a swing to a more carnivorous side and they stop eating the algae, and so they should really, it isn't enough to sustain them.

It's up to you what you do with him now, I know if I'd have kept him so long I'd want to hang on to him... I'd read this thread http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=42856 make sure you give it a good balanced diet (lots of food items to choose from listed in post 7) while you have it, it could well live on for another 10 years.

Anyhow, back to your eel problem, maybe a couple of tightish caves (not tight enough to get stuck) added may help. G. tile does pretty well in groups and don't mind sharing caves though.
