horrible way to ship fish! apparently there wasnt enough oxygen. a pleco needs enough water to cover its head so oxygen is a priority.

Never heard of using a jar. Must be a huge moron to do that.

Plus at that size he could of shipped you any pleco that resembles a luteus when young and there are a bunch out there you could pull that off with.

I have had an 8" L25 shipped to me in a plastic pail(NLS) . He did use bag buddies and it was shipped airport to airport. It was the best alternative for that size otherwise we would've had a punctured bag.

I could see airport to airport being ok but not fed ex overnight that takes 24 hours!
