a 2.5 foot ID shark will most definitely eat a oscar.
Meh, you're right. I was assuming full sized oscar, but it would probably be stunted in his tank. No 16" oscar in his 38

The Oscar will beat the balls outta the angelfish I think. Seeing as my Oscars tried to take on, oh, everything. As far as Mr. Iridescent, I dunno mine did not grow that fast and I got him when he was tiny and he had plenty of room to swim. Also, he had a tiny little mouth, in fact he was a really pathetic wimp compared to the Oscars.

I think NA catfish like bullheads look and behave very much like sharks. I do not know if they are legal there though. Most bullheads get to a little over a foot.

ive really never seen an oscar above 12 inches.

I know of 1 15" oscar in a 55gallon.

The OP is funny. He kept me laughin while reading.

this is just my opinion but i don't think and ID would eat an oscar, i'v seen them in with glo-lights when they were in the 6-7in range and they didn't even bother to try and eat the tetras. maybe it's just my experience but they really don't go after other fish, but yes they do get huge

and acura ID is the iridescent shark not the paroon, and like i stated they really aren't what you're looking for in terms of eating other fish. how bout this, Cetopsis Coecutiens they don't get near as big. they still look very sharky, for your probably stoner buddies to be impressed by, and they also have the much nastier disposition you seem to be looking for. just a suggestion since you claim no one is trying to help

A 6-7" id might not bother anything, but when your 2-3 feet long, you change your priorities.
