Hypotumus Plecostomus

Are they even still relavent or did they get their name changed to something else awhile ago?
 
i've actually seen then pop back up. For some strange reason petsmart got some sort of hypostomus sp. in with their commons. ANd i still believe it to be H. plecostomus. it never got old enough to photograph the mouth for a positive id.

Lol nevermind on the rare part. love mine though:) hes my monster pleco
 
Ok...I was just curious because some of the threads asking for an ID on their pleco always looks like a regular pleco (H. Plecostomus) and it always seems to be something else.

Common plecos are more often pterygoplichthys or glyptoperichthys species. However, Hypostomus are not uncommon, just less common then the above mentioned genuses.
