Did you have any problems with the motoro pups and cloudy eyes? Were you feeding them the same diet as the hystrix?

no problems, feeding the same thing. in the same tank at one point.

That looks exactly like one of my Marble's eyes. Other 5 are fine.... Just the one.

Maybe try some Maracyn?

i was too busy this weekend to test it.... i need to get on that.

like i have said before the eyes look glazed...almost scratched. the 2 smaller ones seem to be worse that the 6"er. i have pictures somewhere..i will post them up.

??????

Well I hope you are not too busy forever and dose with a medication instead of exploring your water chemistry first.

You can also test your pH out of tap and test it again after it sits in a bucket with an airstone for an hour.

:grinno: this has been ongoing since November, one more day won't make or break them.
You think i should be treating with med's, what kind? You are thinking bacterial? If it was bacterial don't you think the rest of my rays would be showing signs?

My ph last night tested @ 8.0. I will try to find a kh test kit...

BTW THE DARKER RAY IN THE PICTS IS THE ONE I HAVE HAD SINCE NOVEMBER, HIS EYES ARE THE WORSE.

Treat with meds, no way. Keep your rays in a proper pH and hardness first for weeks/months, then consider it if the eyes are still like that. At pH of 8.0 ammonia is very toxic, you are running the risk of loosing all of your rays in one fell-sweep with a power failure or skipped water changes or foul foods, filter crash (med use) or failed filter. You should age and soften your water before w/c's and provide your rays with at least water in the pH range of 6.8-7.0. I am not even suggesting that these cloudy eyes are indicative of a major underlying problem, I am suggesting that you fix water chem first before delving into experimentally medicating your rays for a "problem" that may be innocuous.
