Hystrix pups

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Looking good Jason, see they have all lightened up now, very typical of captive bred hystrix pups I find, they will change again no doubt as they mature, some of mine however have stayed light.

Still the cutest pups on earth imo, out of all my pups I find moving them on the hardest....very special!

Nice result!

I sold ail the last batch Jason, I did keep a couple of females from the time before which are coming on well, they are extremely light considering they were born a chestnut colour.
Thanks for the interest!

Aquaman how much would a hystrix male be ?

I sell them for £150 ea. This I think is a very fair price considering they are captive bred, they stay with me for 6 weeks minimum before being sold in the shop by which time they are well on their way, feeding on pellets which I'm sure there are a few guys on here that will vouch for me when I say this is a huge bonus particularly with hystrix, a species that more often than not are wild caught and can be very difficult to get to eat anything other earthworms.
For some reason captive bred hystrix pups are so much prettier than their wild counterparts, it is probably down to the better nutrition the females get during gestation.
